Our breeding programs are based on selectioning to preserve morphological and
temperamental
charachteristics of these wonderful breeds. Hereafter we specify some
of the parameters
as requested in the official FCI standards.

Coat and colors: coat should be wiry, harsh and dense. Formed by a dense undercoat and a not too short rough, glossy and not wavy top coat, lying close to the body. Longer on the leg’s furnishings and on the face where forms a not too soft beard and bushy eyebrows which slightly shades the eyes. breed with wire not too short and glossy bristles and a dense , undercoat.
Longer on the leg’s furnishings and on the face where forms moustaches
and beard round shaping the head. Admitted colours: Bruxellois red with
red or black mask, Belgian black, black and tan or mixing of these two
colors.

It could seem a strange thing, that three different breeds as schnauzers and griffons are, have so many similar characteristics. They were born in center Europe, about in the same area and about in the same period, selectioned to do about the same job. It's function that shapes construction, and a square, alert and agile dog is what you need if you have to clean stables or to watch for intruders. |
